Afternoon Summer Craft Camps

Macrame/Weaving Wall Hanging and Tie Dye

Students will learn to design and complete their own wall hanging for their room. We'll look at examples of macrame and weaving projects and teach the techniques needed for their project (and any others they want to learn!). They'll be amazed at what they've created by the end of week. Friday, we'll mix it up and work on a fun tie dye project! A light snack will be provided.

For ages 10 through 17

Body Product Lab

Students will have so much fun creating their own body wash, scrubs, bath bombs, pour and mold soaps and lip balms! We'll go through the use and benefits of the ingredients and play with recipes to make natural body products that students can use at home or give as gifts. We'll also have creative time to make our own labels and paint a recipe box. Each student will go home with all of their recipes. A light snack will be provided.

For ages 8 through 17

Leather Working and Shibori Indigo Fabric Dyeing

Student's creativity will be in full blast at this camp! They'll start the week designing a simple leather project, like a small bag, wallet, or journal, and learning the skills they'll need to create it. The rest of the week will be split between completing their project and trying the art of shibori indigo dyeing. At the end of the week, students will have at least 1 completed leather and 1 completed indigo dyed piece to take home. Indigo is one of the oldest dyes to be used on fabric. Shibori is a set of resist dyeing techniques for fabric developed over centuries in Japan. The word comes from the root verb shiboru which means “to wring, squeeze, press.” A light snack will be provided.

For ages 10 through adult

Fairy Garden and Painted Peg Board

Kid's will have a blast designing and creating their own magical miniature world. We'll start the week working on concepts and beginning construction of miniature tents, bridges, fairies, and furniture. Kids will then be able to incorporate plants, rocks, sand, moss and other natural elements along with their creations to complete their magical masterpiece! Friday, we'll mix it up and each student will paint and accessorize their own peg board. A light snack will be provided.
