The process of dyeing natural fabrics in indigo using shibori wrapping techniques creates beautiful patterns. You will be amazed at your creations. Join us in this workshop to learn some 4-5 different wrapping techniques and create your choice of items listed below.

  • Scraf & 2 kitchen towels & scarf

  • Beach sarong

  • Turkish towel

You may bring your own shirt or small item to dye if you choose in addition to an item above (it must be a natural fiber, cotton, bamboo, silk, etc., to take the dye).

Indigo is one of the oldest dyes to be used on fabric. Shibori is a set of resist dyeing techniques for fabric developed over centuries in Japan. The word comes from the root verb shiboru which means “to wring, squeeze, press.”

Recommended for 12 and up.

Those 21 and over are welcome to bring in wine or beer.
