Beginning Embroidery Project

Embroidery is easy to learn, satisfying to work on and you end up with a cute finished product.  It fits in a purse and needs very few supplies so it’s a perfect on-the-go craft.

You’ll begin this 2 hour class by selecting your embroidery project.  We’ll then learn and practice the stitches that you’ll need to for your project and you’ll have time to start on your embroidery.  When you leave, you’ll take all of the supplies you’ll need to complete your embroidery at home.

Projects you’ll get to choose from at the beginning of class are:

  • Studio MME embroidery kit to hang on a wall

  • Tea towel with your choice of a Sublime Stitching pattern

  • Pillowcase with your choice of a Sublime Stitching pattern

  • Fabric pouch with your choice of a Sublime Stitching pattern (additional $10 materials fee)

About the instructor

Amy Brown is designer, fiber artist and owner of Jumbo Jibbles, a local business making giant stuffed fruit and vegetable pillows. She appreciates the laid-back pace of embroidery, and the fact that you can't smear a stitch or stain a carpet with thread. Hundreds of children and adults in the Bay Area can confidently sew after her classes. She enjoys pineapple on her pizza.
